Felted Lotus Flower Corsage

Description

This charming lotus flower has been cleverly created from felted, up-cycled wool sweaters. As they start off as knitted wool the felting process, which shrinks it all down, gives a wonderful texture to the wool and makes it very tactile. It has a wonderful quirky almost vintage quality and would make an ideal accessory to add to a coat, bag or hat or even as something a little different for a special occasion, wedding or prom corsage.

Beautiful mauve petals, pale on the outside with a deeper mauve on the inside, cup around a layer of the same mauve petals with the pale side inner most, surrounding a cluster of baby pink loops nestled in the centre creating a lovely lotus flower. All set off by a pair of forest green leaves peaking out to one side.

Fitted with a brooch pin back with a safety catch, it can be easily attached to a jacket, hat, bag etc or can be worn as a hair accessory by slipping on to hair grips.

The flower measures approximately 8cm in diameter.
