Violent Violet- Hand Spun Yarn

Description

This yarn started life as commercially dyed Merino fibres in many shades of purple which were then blended by me using hand carders. These fibres were lovingly and painstakingly hand spun on a spinning wheel. It consists of 1 single, andean plied.

There is approx. 108 meters of yarn. Price works out to be under 12p a meter!

With 12 WPI, this is a sport weight yarn. I would recommend 3.25mm - 3.75mm needles or a 3.5mm - 4.5mm hook for this yarn. Be sure to only hand wash in lukewarm water and dry flat. Do not scrub the yarn on wash in hot water - this will felt it! (Unless, you want that to happen of course :) )

The yarn is currently in a skein. If you would like it wound into a center pull ball, i can do this for you at no extra cost - just let me know in the 'Message to Seller' box at the order page :)

This yarn is ready to ship now! Although i could use the same fibres in these colours again, due to the nature of this yarn being hand carded and hand spun means that it will be next to impossible to replicate the exact same colour changes again. So you can be sure of owning a one of a kind, unique yarn!

Please note, I own 3 cats and I do my best to keep my work pet hair free. However I cannot guarantee that items will be completely free of hair. All items are from a smoke free home.
