Upcycled Indian POP ART Tote Bag - BEEDIS
£6.00
The multicoloured joys of Indian advertising banners have practical uses, too - like this upcycled messenger bag made from recycled burlap rice bags from India!
I harvest these vibrant vinyl banners after they've served their purpose as advertisements (often during holidays or Hindu festivals), and put the sturdy burlap back to work as a messenger bag, double-stitching everything for durability with my trusty sewing machine. It's perfect for carrying your groceries, books, or whatever you might want to put in one of these delightful bags. This one features an advertisement for beedis (Indian herbal cigarettes) on a vivid red background with a fantastic Hindi font.
As durable as they are vibrant, these are made from heavy vinyl material made to last through the most brusque treatment, and you'll do the planet a favour by reusing these bags when you carry your whatnots and suchlike in charming style! The repurposed material is in excellent condition and shows very minor wear, and the vinyl carrying handle is secured by metal rivets. Pick strawberries in the rain with absolute impunity - the bag is fully waterproof!
