Vintage Kitsch UPCYCLED Stationary Set from India
£6.00
I love writing letters when I travel, and all my friends love seeing what interesting ephemera I've found to use as stationary! Every time I go to a new country I stock up on local paperstuffs to use for letter-writing. I'd like to share some of my bounty with you in this delightful vintage Indian kitsch stationary set!
20 pages of stationary made from 1960s handwriting practice books for schoolchildren. The top line has an exaple sentence - break the rules and write your letter beneath it. 10 in Hindi, 10 in Malayalam, suitable for writing on both sides.
10 half-sheet notecards, made from similar paper. These sheets are vibrant and colourful (printing inks must have become cheaper in the 70s)!
5 envelopes folded from vintage Indian school charts featuring the solar system, wonders of the world, mountains, agriculture, and 'our helpers'.
4 address cards featuring classic Bollywood stars.
1 vintage school chart covered with stickers of world flags. 54 countries to choose from; use them to seal your envelope with the flag of the country you're sending it from!
Never use plain paper again! Everything is packed nicely into a vintage schoolbook folder so you can take it with you no matter where your travels take you.
