Organic Cotton Lunch Tote – gone green

Do you know someone (friend, colleague, spouse?) who buys lunch every afternoon and takes it back to the office in a paper or plastic bag?

Help them dispense with this disposable by giving them a cloth bag:

(1) It’s similar in size to the paper bag and holds just as much, if not more.
(2) It makes a statement, some bolder than others.
(3) This 'statement' comes as a pocket for you to store a receipt or small change.
(4) It does not provide free advertising for the vendor, who should be paying you for walking around with their brand.
(5) It’s washable and reusable but will survive for weeks in a drawer without a wash.
(6) It does not disintegrate in the sudden downpours you get only at your lunch breaks.
(7) It can be personalized – so long as it fits into the space available. Just contact me.
(8) It’s cheap and easy to send in the post as a present. (But allow plenty of time due to the annoying/threatening postal strike action.)
(9) It can be squashed into a pocket for the trip to the shop.

These are made by myself using hand-dyed and handloom Fairtrade organic cotton fabric (by members of the KV Kuppam co-operative) and embroidered with green-ish sentiments. If you prefer I could embroider text like “the best husband�, “best dad�, “yummy mummy�, etc.

Each bag measures about 7� x 8½� with a 3½� gusset. This size is also ideal for a younger person.

They can be washed with your normal laundry and steam ironed. Using it all creased up will signify an even smaller carbon footprint.

NB This listing is only for the bag in blue/green check fabric. Lunch (sandwich, drink and apple) is NOT included in the price.
