Small hardwood wood carving incoprorating the natural features of the wood to be an integral part of the design. In this case the grain of the wood has led to something of an austere character, Conway, no doubt a retired sgt major prone to shouting at his troops and blowing pipe-smoke in their eyes ...

... all my carvings are one-of-a-kind and are worked in a manner to simply reveal what was already in the wood before I began working on them, the final form is entirely born of what I see in the wood itself.

I've found that these to be great as gifts or as ornamentation / decoration on shelves, book shelves or any nook or cranny that needs a little something extra.
