Celtic Spiral Silver Pendant

Description

This simple silver pendant is made using a pattern from the centre of a celtic cross design, the original is a rubbing plate in my husband's brass rubbing centre. I made a few pieces using patterns from brasses, I've deliberately made them a little ragged around the edges, I wanted to give the feeling that they might have been dug up somewhere. I called the collection Fragments.
The pendant hangs from a reused chain bought from a local collectors market
The spiral pattern is polished to quite a high shine, while the background is unpolished, giving a slightly frosted appearance, this makes the pattern stand out better.
The pendant measures approximately 1" across and has an 18" twisted rope chain. It is fairly thin and light and has a slightly dished shape.
