I am an Australian craft mad mother of three. I have done many different crafts over many years including silk painting, all sorts of needlecraft, paper crafts, scrapbooking...but my greatest joy and latest interest is making handmade buttons for other people to use on their crafts.
I have been crafting since childhood. My father painted in oils and watercolours, an aunt could sew party dresses from left over curtains, my great aunt made tiny broaches from tree bark and my second cousin did beautiful creations with pastels, so making and drawing are second nature to me.
I was collaging and scrapbooking long before I knew what it was called, and long before it became trendy and popular, I was polymer claying more than thirty years ago (yes dear, I'm getting old), and then silk painting, card crafting, embroidering, crocheting, knitting, cross-stitching and all manner of other crafts...
Somewhere in between I found time to get married and have three lovely children, and although I have a lot less time for craft now, I still have an overflowing craft cupboard and make birthday and Christmas presents, and cards and encourage my children in their creativity.
