I’m originally from Glasgow but based in Nottingham. I’m an experienced graphic designer and an all round creative type, from making short films, theatre and club visuals to photographic exhibitions.
am a very visual person and my tastes and interests are eclectic and I get inspiration from many sources. I am also particularly interested in the symbolism of objects and elements.
The majority of the items are cast from polyester resin, using commercially available moulds and self made silicone moulds, which have been taken from handcrafted clay models or shop bought items.
I have made resin jewellery before, so the fumes and sticky messes brought back memories! I recently found an old piece that I had made many years ago (17 years in fact) and I thought how much has progressed in terms of what is available in the craft of resin casting, in particular the moulds; and also how much I’ve progressed in terms of my own techniques and ideas.
